Ceramic‑lined sleeve expansion joints protect against abrasion, corrosion, and thermal stress—ideal for high‑wear pipeline systems with movement and vibration.
The ceramic-lined sleeve-type expansion joint is an engineered pipe connector designed to handle axial, lateral, and angular pipe movements while providing superior wear, corrosion, and thermal protection. It features an internal ceramic lining—typically alumina or silicon carbide—bonded to a flexible steel sleeve that absorbs system strains due to pipeline expansion, contraction, vibration, and misalignment.

Ceramic-lined sleeve-type expansion joints feature SHS-bonded alumina ceramic lining on stainless steel bellows, accommodating ±100mm movement while resisting severe abrasion in slurry/ash systems. Ideal for power plants, mining, and chemical pipelines handling -50°C–800°C temperatures and 40 m/s particle flow.

What is Sleeve Expansion Joint?

A Sleeve Expansion Joint is a type of pipe fitting designed to absorb axial movements (expansion and contraction) in piping systems due to thermal changes, vibration, or mechanical shifts. It consists of an inner sleeve that slides into an outer sleeve or casing, allowing for linear movement while maintaining a sealed connection between two pipe sections.
A Sleeve Expansion Joint is a durable, cost-effective, and low-maintenance solution for handling axial movement in pipelines—especially suited for abrasive or high-temperature services when lined with materials like ceramic.
