What are End Caps?

End caps are pipe fittings specifically designed to serve as closures at the ends of a piping system, providing protection and sealing functionality to prevent contamination and maintain system integrity.

A fitting cap is a type of piping fitting that is used to close off the end of a pipe or fitting. It is commonly used in plumbing, HVAC, and industrial applications where the end of a pipe or fitting needs to be sealed or capped.

Fitting caps are available in different sizes and materials, such as carbon steel and stainless steel, depending on the application. They are typically designed to fit over the end of a pipe or fitting and provide a tight, secure seal. Fitting caps can be used in a variety of applications, such as to seal off unused pipes, protect the end of a pipe during shipping or storage, or provide a temporary seal during maintenance or repair work.

The installation of fitting caps requires careful consideration of the pipe size, material, pressure, temperature, and fluid being conveyed to ensure proper fit and performance. In some cases, a threaded fitting cap may be used, which allows for easy installation and removal of the cap without the need for special tools or equipment.

Steel Pipe Cap is usually welded to the pipe end or mounted on the external thread of the pipe end to cover the pipe fittings. To close the pipeline so the function is the same as the pipe plug.

Sealing Function

Fit over or are welded onto the end of a pipe, providing a liquid or gas-tight seal for complete system protection.

Seamless Construction

Commonly made from one steel plate ensuring seamless construction, available in various shapes including hemispherical, oval, and round.
