Ultimate Wear Defense
High-strength steel pipes lined with fused basalt tiles and optional ceramic/silicon carbide overlays for extreme abrasion and corrosion applications. heavy calibre composite pipes with fused basalt tiles and ceramic overlays provide unmatched abrasion and corrosion resistance—ideal for mining, ash, and slurry lines.
Heavy calibre lining tiles composite pipes are rugged industrial piping solutions designed to transport highly abrasive or corrosive media, such as ore, slag, coal slurry, ash, and chemical suspensions. These pipes feature a sturdy steel casing internally lined with individual fused cast basalt segments—typically in hexagonal or rectangular tile form—optionally overlaid with ceramic or silicon carbide tiles for enhanced wear performance.
Key Features & Benefits
Superior Abrasion Protection: Fused basalt tiles (Mohs 7–8) resist long-term wear and maintain smooth flow by self-polishing.
Chemical and Thermal Stability: Basalt withstands acids, alkalis, and temperatures up to 450 °C, making it suitable for diverse industrial environments.
Customizable Sizing: Available in nominal diameters from DN80 to over DN800, with lining thicknesses of 20–30 mm. Tiles fit straight pipes or curved surfaces (bends, elbows, and large-calibre fittings).
Enhanced Wear Resistance: Can be combined with ceramic or SiC linings in high-wear zones to significantly boost durability and wear life.
Cost‑Effective Longevity: Surpasses mild steel (3–5 months) and cast iron (6–8 months), offering 20–25 months of service—ceramic-lined systems go even longer.
Flexible Connections: Integrates with flanged, butt-weld, or grooved coupling joints; packaged securely for shipping in foam and wooden crates.
Technical & Design Aspects
Bend Radii: Recommended bend radius ≥ 3× nominal bore, with straight, lined runs 5–12× DN downstream to support flow stability.
Lining Assembly: Cast basalt tiles are cement-bonded inside the steel casing; optional additional wear overlays applied as needed.
Impact Handling: Designed to absorb sliding wear and limit direct impact damage; steel casing provides protection under mechanical stress.
Thermal Limits: Operating range from –40 °C up to 200–450 °C, depending on specific tile and mortar materials.
Far exceeds unlined steel, AR plate and most ceramic linings in severe sliding abrasion.
Resists almost all acids, alkalis and saline solutions (except HF).
Continuous service up to 350–450 °C (grade dependent).
Prevents material adhesion and reduces pressure loss & energy consumption.
Steel outer shell allows normal welding. Damaged sections can be cut out and replaced individually without dismantling the entire line.
Cast basalt lined pipes (also known as玄武岩铸石衬里钢管) offer exceptional abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, and smooth flow characteristics, making them ideal for hydraulic & pneumatic conveying of abrasive slurries in medium-impact environments.
