Niobium-stabilized For High-temperature Service
Astm a312 tp347h stainless steel pipe (uns s34709) for high-temperature service. niobium-stabilized austenitic grade with seamless/welded options.
TP347H (UNS S34709) seamless and welded austenitic stainless steel pipe per ASTM A312/ASME SA312. Niobium-stabilized to prevent intergranular corrosion in welded structures at elevated temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C). Sizes 1/8″–30″ NPS, Sch 5S–XXS, with excellent creep and corrosion resistance for boilers, heat exchangers, and chemical plants.
TP347H is a niobium-stabilized version of Type 347 stainless steel, designed for high-temperature applications where welding is involved. The "H" designation indicates higher carbon content for improved creep strength and stability at elevated temperatures. Manufactured to ASTM A312 for seamless and straight-seam welded pipes, it offers excellent resistance to sensitization and intergranular corrosion.
Commonly used in power generation, petrochemical, and thermal processing where sustained high temperatures (up to 1500°F) and corrosive environments are present.
| Element | Content Range (%) |
|---|---|
| Carbon (C) | 0.04–0.10 |
| Manganese (Mn) | ≤2.00 |
| Silicon (Si) | ≤1.00 |
| Phosphorus (P) | ≤0.045 |
| Sulfur (S) | ≤0.030 |
| Chromium (Cr) | 17.0–19.0 |
| Nickel (Ni) | 9.0–13.0 |
| Niobium (Nb) | 8×C–1.10 |
Note: Niobium is added for stabilization to reduce carbide precipitation and enhance resistance to intergranular corrosion.
